Every joint, every finish, every drawer slide — crafted by hand in our Walker workshop to fit the spaces and stories that matter to you.
When you walk into a kitchen with custom cabinetry, you notice it before you can name it. The drawers glide without a sound. The doors close with a soft, satisfying click. The grain of the wood tells a story that matches the rhythm of your home.
At Traditional Designs, we don't rush. Every cabinet begins as a conversation — about how you cook, what you store, the light in your rooms, the way you move through your space. Then it moves to our workshop, where seasoned craftsmen shape, join, and finish each piece by hand.
We work from our shop on Weiss Road in Walker, serving homeowners across the Baton Rouge area who refuse to compromise on what lives inside their walls.
From morning coffee to evening wind-down, every surface you touch should feel intentional. Here's where we begin.
Islands, pantries, breakfast nooks, and everything between. We design layouts that make your kitchen work the way your family does — with room to breathe and space for what matters.
Moisture-resistant materials, clever storage solutions, and finishes that feel like a retreat. Your bathroom should be the first room you want to linger in.
Entertainment centers, bookshelves, fireplace surrounds, and wall units designed to become part of your home's architecture — not added on afterward.
Trim, molding, wainscoting, and custom millwork that ties every room together. When details match, the whole house feels designed — not decorated.
Updating an existing space? We work alongside your contractor or designer to replace worn cabinetry with pieces built for decades, not just the current season.
Reception desks, display cases, office millwork, and hospitality cabinetry. Professional results that reflect the quality your business stands for.
Every project starts with a vision. These are the homes where that vision took shape.
No surprises, no rush. Just a clear path from your idea to a cabinet that fits perfectly — in every sense.
We visit your space, listen to how you live, and discuss materials, styles, and budget. No pressure — just a genuine conversation about what you need.
We draft detailed plans and material selections. You review every dimension, finish, and hardware choice before a single board is cut.
Your cabinets are built in our Walker shop by hand. We source premium lumber and hardware, then assemble, sand, and finish each piece to last.
We handle the install ourselves — no subcontractors. Every door is adjusted, every drawer tested, every detail checked before we consider it done.
"They didn't just build cabinets for us — they built the kitchen we always imagined but couldn't quite describe. Every detail felt like it was meant to be there."
Call us or stop by the shop. We'd love to hear what you're envisioning.
Whether you have a detailed plan or just a sketch on a napkin, we're here to help. Reach out by phone, email, or visit our workshop — we welcome questions of every size.
